Toyin Ibrahim Adekeye
Toyin Ibrahim Adekeye is a filmmaker who enjoys the art of crafting beautiful and compelling imagery. He has worked and traveled across the globe, continually expanding his knowledge of art and cinema.
The Nigerian-born, Los Angeles–based director is an alumnus of The Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood and the founder of Motherland Productions Inc. USA. He is an artist with an eye for detail and a passion for perfection.
His non-fiction feature film Bigger Than Africa was acquired by Netflix and later by APT for airing on American public television stations nationwide in the U.S. and Canada. The documentary won multiple awards at film festivals worldwide, including a nomination from the African Movie Academy Awards. It received global acclaim and earned prestigious invitations from institutions such as the United Nations and the Schomburg Center for Research on Black Culture, among others.
Toyin is an artist with eyes for details & passion for perfection, a genius on a journey with elite’s vision and creative ability to back it up. This Los Angeles based Director is a product of the Los Angeles Film School Hollywood, a filmmaker that enjoys the art of crafting beautiful and compelling imagery.
Toyin Ibrahim Adekeye has worked and traveled around the globe expanding his experience in knowledge of art & cinema. His recent documentary Bigger Than Africa was nominated for the African Movie Academy Award in 2018, receiving invitations from Ivy League schools like Yale, screened worldwide, winning multiple awards & earning a screening at the United Nations.
